The small, peaceful community of Grovetown is traumatized by the dual suicide of a young couple. When more suicides quickly tag along, people in the evangelical town turn a blind eye and hug determinedly to their deep-seated opinion. Lindsay, a local student and girlfriend of the pastor's son, is not so unconcerned. She begins to nudge deeper into the obscurity and befriends Aidan, a non-believer whose family has stirred several disagreements before. Lindsay quickly discovers that incredible evil and inexpressible is at exertion, moving parasitically from prey to prey.
